Dear Alberto

Please accept this letter of gratitude after a stunning wedding celebration at your beautiful Castello del Trebbio. Let us start from the very beginning…

We read about a wedding planner in Norway online, arranging ceremonies in the region of Tuscany. We already had a passion for this region, with its beautiful landscape, incredible food, elegant wine, and wonderful people, but no idea where to look for the perfect wedding location. After talking to the wedding planner, we decided to come to Italy in order to see some of the locations for ourselves.

Arriving at Castello del Trebbio was love at first sight. In between cypress trees, olive groves and vine yards, laid charming villas and a small historical castle. The rural and quiet atmosphere was perfect in our opinion. Upon arrival we were greeted as old friends, and the service we received was beyond all expectations. There was never a doubt in our mind that the wedding was well attended to. All of the staff showed sincere interest in our ideas and wishes, and made us feel welcome from day one. Food, wine, accommodation, hairstylist, florist…. All details were taken care of in cooperation with us and the wedding planner. No need to worry at all…

After months of waiting and missing Tuscany, the week of the wedding finally arrived. We had, as always, the most wonderful stay at Castello del Trebbio. Getting married there was like marrying in a fairytale. The scenery was stunning, the small family chapel lent to us for the occasion beautifully decorated, apperitivo in the courtyard exceptional, and the entire menu beyond all expectations. The chef is an artist, truly, and all of the staff contributed to make the day memorable. We could never have dreamt of such a perfect day, so thanks to each and every one of you.

Now, finally, to you Alberto. Please believe us when we say that the wedding would not have been the same without you. Both before and during the week of the wedding you were amazing, taking care of all that we asked for. All of our guests have mentioned your service during the stay, but first and foremost your personality, humor and ability to share a true passion for Castello del Trebbio. We could not agree more, so thank you a million times for your time, engagement, and for being you :)

We can’t wait to return to Castello del Trebbio, seeing the landscape, exploring the food, enjoying the wine, and meeting you wonderful people again. You always manage to make us feel more like family than like visitors.  Hope to see you real soon.

thanks for your sms we just received tonight. We had an excellent trip back to Grenoble, except this electricity blackout story which got us stuck at the entrance of the tunnel of Frejus for 1h20mns. But that’s already forgotten.

What is not forgotten is first your outstanding sense of welcoming us at Castello del Trebbio, the excellent time we had there, without counting the pretty surroundings. We really had a good time and our various visits just give us one regret: not having enough time to really appreciate them all. We’ll be back, this is sure.

In November we were on a Jeff Hoag tour of Italy which included a tour of Castello del Trebbio. We had a wine tasting event and we enjoyed their white wine and Chianti docg. The tour was one of the real highlights of our tour. The people of Castello del Trebbio were just wonderful to us. It was very beautiful there.

As promised our feed back on our stay in Trebbio:

We really enjoyed our stay at the Trebbio property: Panicale B was big enough for our family of 4, nicely decorated, well equipped, quiet and close to the swimming pool. The property is lovely with olive trees, a beautiful old castle overlooking everything and a nice restaurant on site where dinner is served with a beautiful Tuscan view.

In addition, Alberto who welcomed us was very nice and helpful, providing advice where needed and in every language. The visit of the castle cellars was interesting and after a lovely tasting we were happy to bring home wine and olive oil.

Another advantage is that the Trebbio is really close to Firenze (no more than 30 min drive).

We enjoyed staying at the Trebbio, and plan to come back for another visit. We highly recommend this place to all visitors interested in Tuscany.

Hi Alberto,

We just wanted to thank you very much for being a great host at Castle
Trebbio. We really enjoyed our visit, the villa was really nice and
spacious with stunning views and a great location. The castle and grounds
were wonderful and we enjoyed eating in the restaurant, where the food was
very good.

We found you very friendly and helpful, giving us advice and help when
needed. We also really enjoyed the wine tour and you made this very
interesting and informative; the wine was very good and as you know, we
bought quite a few bottles to bring home, to remind us of our wonderful
holiday.

I would highly recommend a visit to friends and acquaintances and in fact
gave one of the leaflets to friends last night, telling them how much we
enjoyed our holiday.

As promised I let you know that our trip home went very well, just a small delay at the airport otherwise the journey was very good. That includes our short stop in Bologna, we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay there, so we all thank you for that recommendation

We are all agreed that the holiday was wonderful, we cannot find one thing to criticise, but then we do not moan much anyway. We all thought the house was better than we could have hoped for and we found the scenery and peaceful surroundings to be very relaxing.

Although we played tennis, we played golf, we went to Firenze, we cooked at home a lot, which sounds a little bit hectic, we all felt the overall impression of our stay was relaxing and invigorating. All the people we met, (except for one miserable waiter in Firenze) were so friendly and so helpful we felt we made lots of Italian friends, it is a really good feeling to have that kind of experience.

I think we might be seeing you again soon.

for your kindness, friendliness and great hospitality. We continued on with
our holiday to Switzerland and then to France but we were very sorry to
leave Italy! We have to say that our favourite place was our stay at the
Castle and we are looking forward to coming back to Italy again. The people

Our photos of the castle have made our friends and family very envious of

 Dear Alberto,

Yes, we are very happy for you to put our words on your website - it was
truly a wonderful stay we had at Castello del Trebbio and is still very
vivid in our minds! One of the other highlights of staying there was our
walk up the hill to Santa Brigida where we were lucky enough to hear a man
walking through the main street singing opera! This was a unique experience
and something which you just don't see or hear in Australia! A couple of
the other shops we went in to we also met some very, very nice people and
even though they did not speak English and our Italian is not very good, we
still managed to communicate! You are very lucky to live in such a magical
place of Italy - we are very envious!

Hugs to you, Alberto, and we will definitely recommend the castle - which I
have already started to do - to anybody who is coming over to Italy. I know
that they will be very well looked after and I have absolutely no hesitation
whatsoever in recommending you.

Can we just thank you for the most wonderful relaxing holiday in the most perfect 

setting we could imagine. Sam had a brilliant first Italy experience and both 

mine and Lee’s mum totally chilled out on the Chianti!! Sam got to grips with 

walking whilst we were there and the long drive gave him and all of us endless 

practice!!

The accomodation was lovely and we were spoilt with the most amazing food at the 

restaurant which was a real bonus (together with a wine shop on site)!!

Buongiorno Alberto... Happily back in the States but also missing your

lovely Italy. So wish we could have worked out the Florence journey with you

for our final day as I loved the historical excursions we were able to

accomplish and had a fabulous last evening of food and music. You would have

added to the experience. Plus, in all honesty,we needed your expertise in

driving as we almost ran overtourists and pigeons at the Duomo trying to

find Hertz again! I want to thank you so much for all of your warmth and

hospitality.I will certainly post on the "internet" site, a lovely and

truthful recommendation for all to stay at Castello del Trebbio. Just in

case you need for "motivation" as you said. I have a couple of nice photos

of you during the wine tour to send over in a few days and I'll remain

hopeful that at somepoint you can clear your schedule for a tour of the

South (USA). Would love to return your hospitatlity. Desperately needing my

glass of wine but I suppose I need to return to work now... Hellos to the wild

All atmosphere where kindly, food and serving marvelous!

So we got what we expected, real tuscan beautiful landscape scenery, good

italian food etc.

We also drived vineways, saw Firenze two days an some little towns.

It was a long way to home via Frankfurt at last at home 12.30 tired but

happy.

We wish you all good autumn ,maybe we´l see again or recomend other finnish

tourist to you.

I wanted to thank you for an excellent tour of the winery this past Thursday. 

All four of us felt that visiting the Castello del Trebbio was the high points 

of our week in Toscana

U.S.A. 

Caro Alberto. Home now a week and am writing to thank you ever so much for all 

you did to make our stay with you so wonderful. You really are a great "guy" in 

all respects as I thouhgt you might be from all our e-mails -and ever so obliging 

and helpful etc!!
We got a form to fill out from the agency and said that you were not that great - 

oops - I mean that you were and the place more than lived up to our expectations. 

We had another 3 day stay at a B&B near Tolfa - not far from the airport - 

well 1 1/2 hours - which was also nice but we liked your place even more - and 

that largely due the lovely views, environment and hospitality and of course your 

presence. We have already told several people about it and who knows - we might 

even do a return visit one day too!! As a result of your most interesting Castle 

tour and wine and olive oil dicussion - we are now looking at what we buy!! 

Very few meet the .8% acidity level and as you said but still use labels they 

really should not be using.   Again a big thanks and we will write David Rocco 

and tell him about our stay and see if he can tell us when you will be on the 

programme!! Would be fun to watch and see what he highlights not only about the 

Castle but about all the region.   Ciao for now and hope you are having a good
